About the Role
This full-time position is part of our middle school athletics department. You'll work as an assistant coach on the 7th grade volleyball team, contributing to program growth while helping young athletes build foundational skills, confidence, and character. You'll partner with program leadership to deliver effective coaching that balances competitive achievement with youth development.
What You'll Do
- Co-design and execute volleyball practice plans focused on skill development and game strategy
- Deliver personalized coaching and technical instruction to 7th grade student-athletes
- Cultivate a team environment that values integrity, respectful competition, and mutual support
- Help student-athletes balance athletic commitments with their academic responsibilities
- Contribute to expanding and strengthening our athletic program
- Demonstrate positive leadership and model appropriate conduct on and off the court
What We're Looking For
- Proven coaching experience in volleyball or competitive athletics programs
- Documented success building and developing strong athletic teams and programs
- Demonstrated commitment to sportsmanship, athlete welfare, and ethical coaching standards
- Clear focus on supporting academic excellence alongside athletic development
- Strong ability to engage and motivate middle school-age athletes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across staff, families, and student-athletes
