Assistant Store Manager

We're hiring a full-time Assistant Store Manager in Guayama to help lead store operations, develop talent, and deliver the exciting treasure-hunt shopping experience our customers love.

About the Role

As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll partner with the Store Manager to oversee assigned areas of the business and learn every phase of store operations. When the Store Manager is away, you'll take the lead on running the entire location, ensuring company standards and best practices are upheld at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion company best practices and drive productivity by streamlining daily workflows.
• Review store reports, monitor controllable expenses, and flag any variances to the Store Manager.
• Build effective associate schedules and administer payroll, including punch edits and weekly transmissions.
• Support recruiting, hiring, training, and developing non-exempt associates in line with Ross policies.
• Manage expenditures against budget, treating payroll hours as the primary controllable cost.
• Make safety the top priority by modeling safe behavior and ensuring teams can execute emergency procedures.
• Coach associates to deliver friendly, efficient service across registers, fitting rooms, and the sales floor.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandised to company guidelines, moving product to the floor on schedule.
• Lead loss prevention awareness, safeguard cash and confidential data, and support the annual inventory process.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Store or Assistant Store Manager in a retail setting.
• Proven ability to supervise, motivate, and communicate positively with store associates.
• Strengths in business acumen, planning and prioritizing, building talent, collaborating, and leading by example.
• A track record of accountability, effective communication, and consistent execution.
