Asset Protection Specialist

Home Depot is hiring an Asset Protection Specialist at our Soquel location in Santa Cruz County. About the Role

As an Asset Protection Specialist, you're responsible for safeguarding Home Depot's merchandise and operational integrity. This role combines investigative work, technology monitoring, and hands-on store support to minimize losses caused by theft, fraud, and procedural gaps. You'll work across one or multiple store locations, adapting your approach to each site's unique needs and risk profile. This position requires vigilance, sound judgment, and the ability to act quickly when security concerns arise.

What You'll Do

• Detect and investigate suspected theft and fraud incidents using multiple investigative techniques
• Monitor and review CCTV footage to identify loss events and exceptions
• Analyze transaction discrepancies and inventory anomalies to pinpoint vulnerabilities
• Implement and enforce asset protection protocols across assigned store locations
• Support safety and environmental compliance initiatives to reduce company liability
• Collaborate with store management and loss prevention leadership on corrective actions
• Document findings accurately and maintain detailed records for future reference
• Train and educate store associates on loss prevention best practices
