An inclusive and well-resourced specialist school in Reading is seeking a compassionate ASD Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism and associated needs. This full-time position offers an immediate start date.
Your Responsibilities
- Supporting students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related needs
- Assisting in the classroom and providing one-on-one support as needed
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, special educational needs coordinators (SENCOs), and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care
Skills & Qualifications
- Passion for supporting neurodiverse students
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with children with ASD or related conditions is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
