Position Summary

The Area Director of Catering will oversee the catering departments across multiple hotels in Sterling and Loudoun County, supporting various brands including Intercontinental Hotel Groups, Marriott International, Hilton, Best Western Hotels, The Watermark Hotel, The Hay-Adams Hotel, and Perch Putt. This role involves driving revenue, maximizing profits, ensuring quality service, managing staff, generating new business, and maintaining existing client/corporate accounts.

Core Duties

• Drive revenue and maximize profit for catering departments
• Ensure high-quality service to meet or exceed guest expectations
• Manage assigned staff to achieve financial results, client satisfaction, and positive team relations
• Generate new business and maintain existing client/corporate accounts

Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills in a hospitality setting
• Experience in managing catering operations for multiple hotels
• A deep understanding of the hospitality industry, particularly in the Washington, D.C. area
• Strong financial management and budgeting experience
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Certifications or training in hospitality management are preferred
