US Foods, Inc. is seeking an Area Director of Human Resources to lead talent strategy and employee engagement across our North Hill, Summit County operations. This is a full-time leadership role where you'll drive HR initiatives that directly impact our business growth and organizational culture.
About the Role
As our Area Director, HR, you'll partner directly with regional business leaders to align human resources strategy with operational excellence. Your expertise will shape how we attract, develop, and retain talent across the area, while ensuring we maintain compliance and foster an engaged workforce. You'll be the strategic voice in the room, translating HR insights into business outcomes and helping leadership navigate complex people and labor issues.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute HR strategy for the area in alignment with broader company objectives
- Build strong partnerships with business leaders to understand their operational needs and provide strategic HR support
- Oversee employee relations, talent acquisition, and retention initiatives across the region
- Guide labor relations strategy and ensure compliance with employment law and company policy
- Lead performance management, training, and development programs that strengthen our workforce
- Participate in senior leadership meetings to bring human capital perspective to business discussions
- Drive key HR metrics and results that support business growth and employee satisfaction
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an HR leader managing regional or area-level HR functions
- Strategic mindset with ability to connect people decisions to business outcomes
- Strong knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and HR compliance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience building high-performing HR teams and mentoring talent
- Track record of successful change management and culture initiatives
- Ability to balance strategic HR work with hands-on problem-solving
