About the Role
As an Aquatics Lifeguard at our Mansfield location, you'll play a vital role in keeping our members safe while they enjoy our world-class aquatic facilities. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, energetic setting where your vigilance and customer service skills directly impact the experience of hundreds of aquatic enthusiasts each week.
Responsibilities
- Monitor pool decks and water areas with constant, vigilant supervision to ensure member safety
- Oversee our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and outdoor facilities
- Maintain water slide safety protocols and monitor all slide usage
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid when needed
- Support aquatic events and programs, including seasonal celebrations like "Dive in Movies" and "Poolapalooza"
- Enforce pool rules and provide guidance to members on safe aquatic practices
- Conduct routine water quality checks and equipment inspections
What We're Looking For
- Current lifeguard certification (WSI, Red Cross, or equivalent recognized credential)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong customer service mindset with ability to interact positively with diverse member populations
- Safety-focused attitude and ability to remain attentive in a busy environment
- Excellent communication and observation skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and seasonal peak times
- Physical capability to perform lifeguard duties throughout your shift
