About the Role
This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment open at all ranks — from early-career investigators applying at the Assistant Professor level to established scientists pursuing senior positions. Successful candidates will pursue impactful work in the basic or clinical sciences, contributing to a collaborative center focused on cardiovascular health and disease, neuroscience, metabolism, and aging.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead an independent, scholarly research program aligned with the mission of the Aging & Cardiovascular Discovery Center.
- Advance investigation in cardiovascular health and disease, neuroscience, metabolism, and/or aging within the basic or clinical sciences.
- Collaborate across disciplines with faculty and trainees at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine.
- Contribute to the academic and educational mission appropriate to your rank and area of expertise.
Qualifications
- An earned doctoral degree (such as a PhD, MD, or equivalent) suited to a tenure-track appointment in the basic or clinical sciences.
- A research focus in one or more of the center's priority areas: cardiovascular disease, neuroscience, metabolism, or aging.
- For Assistant Professor candidates: demonstrated promise as an emerging, independent investigator.
- For senior-rank candidates: a sustained record of scholarship and accomplishment commensurate with appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level.
