About the Role

As the Accounting Coordinator at Aibc in Vancouver, BC, you will play a central part in maintaining clear financial documentation and helping the wider team meet reporting timelines. Your Responsibilities

• Process incoming invoices, expenses, and payment requests while verifying supporting documentation for completeness.
• Record transactions in the general ledger and assist with routine reconciliations of bank and vendor accounts.
• Prepare supporting schedules and data extracts that feed into monthly and quarterly closes.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve coding questions and gather missing information promptly.
• Maintain organized digital filing systems for accounting records and ensure audit-ready documentation trails.
• Generate standard reports on accounts payable aging, cash movements, and outstanding items as needed.
• Support the team during period-end by performing assigned cut-off checks and balance follow-ups.

Who We're Looking For

• Solid working knowledge of core accounting principles and general ledger processes.
• Hands-on experience using accounting software and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills for data cleanup and pivot analysis.
• Proven ability to review details carefully and prioritize multiple tasks under regular deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication for interacting with colleagues across functions.
• A post-secondary certificate or diploma in accounting or a related field is preferred, alongside prior exposure to an Accounting Coordinator or similar support role.
• Comfort working on-site in Vancouver, BC and contributing as a reliable member of a finance group.
