Account Specialist – Change of Payee and Discharge

Public Consulting Group is hiring an Account Specialist for Change of Payee and Discharge operations at our Tumwater office in Thurston County. This is a full-time position supporting critical administrative functions for our public sector clients.

About the Role

As an Account Specialist focused on change of payee and discharge processes, you'll play a vital role in managing account transitions and administrative closeouts for our health, education, and human services partners. You'll ensure accurate, timely processing of account modifications and discharge-related paperwork that keeps client operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Process and verify change of payee requests, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and operational requirements
• Handle discharge-related account closures and reconciliation with meticulous attention to detail
• Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the account transition lifecycle
• Coordinate with internal teams and client contacts to resolve account issues and answer questions
• Enter and update account information in relevant systems with precision and compliance
• Perform quality assurance reviews to catch errors before they impact operations
• Contribute to process improvements and standard operating procedures

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in healthcare administration, billing, or related public sector operations
