Locum Obstetrics Gynecologist

CompHealth is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Obstetrics and Gynecology physician for a locum tenens assignment at a healthcare facility in Idaho. About the Role

This locum tenens position offers you the chance to practice full-scope obstetrics and gynecology with clinic and hospital-based responsibilities. You'll work alongside an established medical team in a setting designed to support both patient outcomes and physician well-being. The role includes participation in pager call coverage as part of the on-call schedule.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive obstetric care including prenatal evaluations, labor and delivery management, and postpartum follow-up
• Conduct gynecologic consultations and manage medical and surgical gynecology cases
• Perform procedures within your scope of practice, including but not limited to deliveries, cesarean sections, and gynecologic surgery
• Maintain detailed, timely medical documentation and coordinate care with nursing and ancillary staff
• Participate in clinic sessions and hospital rounds as part of the assignment schedule
• Contribute to a collaborative care environment that prioritizes patient safety and evidence-based practice

What We're Looking For

• MD or DO degree with board certification or current eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Current, unrestricted medical license in Idaho or ability to rapidly obtain one
• Valid DEA registration
• Willingness to participate in on-call coverage and hospital call schedules
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care
• Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
