CompHealth is hiring a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist for a full-time locums position at a hospital-based cardiovascular facility in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, California. This assignment offers predictable clinical work with typically 7 to 15 shifts per month and comprehensive professional support, allowing you to maintain a steady practice while CompHealth handles all administrative details.

Position Summary

This full-time locums position delivers consistent interventional cardiology work at an acute-care hospital setting serving the greater Apple Valley region. With shift-based scheduling (24-hour calls) and an anticipated caseload of 9 to 18 STEMI interventions monthly, you'll manage complex coronary cases while enjoying built-in operational support—credentialing, housing, travel arrangements, and logistical coordination are managed by CompHealth so you can dedicate full attention to patient care and clinical excellence.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional coronary procedures in a hospital catheterization laboratory
• Manage acute STEMI cases, complex coronary lesions, and multi-vessel disease
• Provide direct cardiology consultation and coordinate post-intervention patient management
• Work collaboratively with nursing, catheterization laboratory technicians, and emergency medicine physicians
• Maintain meticulous procedural documentation and contribute to quality assurance initiatives
• Participate in continuing medical education and maintain clinical competency standards

What You Bring

• Board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases with active Interventional Cardiology credentials
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Valid California medical license or immediate licensure eligibility
• Proven expertise in coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to patient-centered care
• Ability to thrive in shift-based scheduling and hospital-based team environments
