About the Role
This is a 1.0 supplemental contract position (NATLHNR HHS) supporting the National Honor Society chapter at the high school level. As a full-time staff member partnering with West Chester Area School District, the advisor guides high-achieving students through the values that define the National Honor Society: scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the high school's National Honor Society chapter.
- Mentor student members and support their academic, leadership, and service commitments.
- Organize induction ceremonies, meetings, and chapter service initiatives throughout the school year.
- Uphold the standards and selection criteria associated with National Honor Society membership.
- Collaborate with school staff and administration to ensure the chapter runs smoothly.
Qualifications
- Interest in and commitment to advising and mentoring high school students.
- Ability to coordinate co-curricular activities at the high school level.
- Compensation is set according to the WCAEA contract.
