About the Role
As a Board Operator at 1260 Fox Sports, you'll be the technical backbone of live on-air programming. You'll operate advanced broadcast control systems, manage audio levels, execute smooth transitions between segments and commercials, and work closely with on-air talent to maintain consistent, high-quality output. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment where precision and composure are essential.
What You'll Do
- Operate broadcast control boards and audio equipment during live programming
- Monitor and adjust audio levels throughout each broadcast
- Execute program transitions, commercials, and station elements with precision
- Coordinate with on-air talent and production staff to ensure smooth broadcasts
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real time
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation as required
- Adhere to FCC regulations and company broadcast standards
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating broadcast equipment or similar technical audio systems
- Strong understanding of audio engineering principles and broadcast operations
- Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with broadcast software and control systems (preferred)
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
