What This Role Involves

The Senior SHEQ Officer: Corporate will provide specialist support and independent assurance in the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Mintek’s safety, environmental, health, and quality management systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SHEQ policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with SHEQ standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance and training on SHEQ best practices to employees across the organization.
• Prepare reports and presentations on SHEQ performance and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SHEQ considerations into project planning and execution.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a relevant degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. A professional qualification such as CSHSE (Certified Safety and Health Specialist Engineer) is desirable. Minimum 5 years of experience in SHEQ management within a corporate environment is required.
