What This Role Involves

The Receptionist role at Hooker and Heijden involves a wide range of duties to ensure the smooth operation of our Brisbane office. The position requires a friendly and professional demeanor to greet clients and visitors, manage phone calls, handle correspondence, and maintain an organized and welcoming reception area.

Core Duties

• Greet clients and visitors with a warm welcome and provide assistance as needed
• Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate team member or schedule appointments
• Manage incoming mail, faxes, and emails efficiently
• Assist in maintaining an organized reception area and ensure all office supplies are stocked
• Handle general administrative tasks such as filing and record-keeping

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
