What This Role Involves

The role of a Senior Financial Crime Investigator at Monzo involves conducting thorough investigations into potential financial crimes within the business banking sector. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This includes analyzing transactions, assessing customer behavior, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to prevent fraud and money laundering.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth investigations into suspicious activities within business banking accounts.
• Analyze transactional data to identify patterns of fraudulent activity.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including legal and compliance departments, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain robust risk management strategies to prevent financial crimes.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Crime Investigator who possesses excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of financial crime regulations. You should have experience in investigating financial crimes, preferably within the banking sector. A degree in finance or a related field is desirable, along with relevant certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner).
