Build the skills for this role
Prioritize practical camera operation, exposure and lighting control, composition, basic post-production workflow, and clear classroom communication. Build a short teaching portfolio: sample syllabus, assignment briefs, and student-ready demos. No certification list was provided for this posting.
Be ready to walk through how you teach a core concept (e.g., exposure triangle or shot design), show portfolio work tied to student learning goals, and explain feedback and grading methods. Expect questions on classroom management, safety with gear, and supporting mixed-skill learners.
Good fit if you combine real production craft with patience for beginners, can teach hands-on without jargon overload, and are reliable in a part-time academic schedule. Less fit if you prefer pure commercial freelancing with no teaching or mentoring component.
