Principal Process Engineer – On-site

About the Role

As Principal Process Engineer, you will drive process excellence across our operations in Salt Lake City. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead high-impact projects that improve efficiency, quality, and scalability in a fast-paced medical device environment. You'll mentor junior engineers, own complex process initiatives, and shape how our teams approach manufacturing and operational challenges.

What You'll Do

• Design, optimize, and validate manufacturing and business processes to meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives
• Lead cross-functional teams through process improvement initiatives, from concept through implementation and scale
• Develop standard operating procedures, process documentation, and training materials that enable consistent execution
• Analyze data and metrics to identify bottlenecks, implement solutions, and measure results
• Collaborate with product engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to align process strategies with business goals
• Conduct feasibility studies and recommend process technologies and methodologies
• Mentor and develop junior process engineers and contribute to continuous learning within the department

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of professional experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent role
• Demonstrated expertise in process design, optimization, and validation in a regulated industry
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficiency with process simulation software, statistical analysis tools, and CAD platforms
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare manufacturing sector is highly valued
