Position Summary

The Skywalker Sound Development Group is building the future of media production software. We're looking for a strategic product leader to serve as the vital connection between our engineering vision and our most demanding enterprise clients' needs. You'll drive high-impact product initiatives, cultivate critical client partnerships, and ensure our platform enables innovation across professional workflows. Your technical depth and strategic thinking will directly shape how the world's premier production organizations transform their operations.

Core Duties

  • Serve as the primary product partner for key enterprise clients, leveraging deep technical knowledge to align their operational requirements with engineering roadmap priorities
  • Build alignment across Sales, Support, and Engineering to deliver solutions that scale and establish unified deployment standards
  • Architect large-scale deployment strategies targeting complex production challenges, with focus on platform adoption within varied hardware and network configurations
  • Translate synthesized client feedback and market data into a prioritized product roadmap balancing advanced capabilities with platform reliability
  • Oversee product-focused deployment planning and system configuration for major accounts, ensuring optimization and establishing governance best practices
  • Design and lead advanced technical education programs and documentation that build internal expertise and accelerate client adoption
  • Nurture strategic executive relationships, proactively identify growth potential, resolve complex technical challenges, and drive customer retention

What You Bring

  • Eight-plus years in Product Management, Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management, or similar roles, ideally within media production, entertainment technology, or creative software sectors
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital media ecosystems, professional content production pipelines, and enterprise solutions including immersive audio technologies such as DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced, and Dolby ATMOS
  • Solid grasp of cloud infrastructure, API architecture, and distributed system design; comfort with Linux environments and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
  • Track record managing demanding client relationships and converting complex technical problems into elegant, prioritized product features
  • Exceptional ability to communicate sophisticated technical concepts clearly to both development organizations and senior business leaders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sound Technology, or equivalent professional expertise gained in high-end production settings

Valued additional experience includes hands-on work with industry-standard tools such as Pro Tools or Media Composer, proficiency with product management platforms like Jira, Productboard, or Zendesk, understanding of containerization and CI/CD practices, and Certified Scrum Product Owner or equivalent Agile leadership background.
