About the Role

As the primary steward of one of WooCommerce's most critical payment partnerships, you'll oversee the strategic and commercial direction of a nine-figure relationship. You'll move seamlessly between executive strategy and technical discussion. Your mandate: deliver minimum 30% year-over-year growth while strengthening an alliance serving millions of merchants globally.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute rolling multi-year partnership plans aligned with WooCommerce strategy and partner expansion priorities.
  • Identify and close expansion opportunities across geographies, product lines, and revenue models.
  • Build executive relationships across the partner organization, serving as WooCommerce's consistent voice.
  • Orchestrate internal alignment across engineering, product, marketing, legal, finance, and operations.
  • Lead QBRs, annual planning, and escalation resolution with strategic authority.
  • Maintain sophisticated understanding of global payment economics—interchange, acquiring models, payment rules—and apply this to sharpen commercial positioning.
  • Monitor the payments landscape for emerging technologies and competitive threats.
  • Track partnership health through KPIs and leading indicators, reporting to senior leadership.
  • Manage contract renewals and commercial negotiations with discipline.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of commercial leadership in payments—merchant services, acquiring, or payment service providers.
  • Track record scaling strategic partnerships ($50M+ ARR) with consistent delivery against aggressive targets.
  • Deep knowledge of payment economics: interchange mechanics, banking relationships, cost structures.
  • Technical fluency in payment capabilities and integration feasibility assessment.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills; proven C-suite influence.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities for business case development.
  • Excellence in cross-functional orchestration without direct authority.
  • Experience leading multi-year strategic planning and execution cycles.
  • Ability to thrive in complexity and establish clarity amid ambiguity.
  • Multi-continent partnership management experience strongly preferred.
