What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with environmental regulations
• Perform regular testing and sampling of wastewater to assess quality and treatment effectiveness
• Maintain detailed operational logs and records of treatment processes, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make adjustments to optimize system performance
• Respond to operational emergencies or system failures with prompt corrective action
• Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and other team members to maintain efficient facility operations

Who We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Wastewater Operator Certification (or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe)
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and environmental compliance standards
• Experience operating treatment equipment and performing water quality testing
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot operational issues
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
• Commitment to safety and ability to work in a regulated, physically demanding environment
• Reliability and willingness to work scheduled shifts as needed
