Join Bosch Group as a full-time Mechanical Designer Intern working remotely for our Engineering team based in Kusterdingen, Baden-Württemberg. Role Overview
As a Mechanical Designer Intern at Bosch Group, you'll contribute to the design and optimisation of mechanical components and systems using industry-standard CAD tools. This full-time, remote practical training position connects you with our experienced engineering team in Kusterdingen, working to translate technical requirements into precise 3D models and technical documentation.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Create and refine 3D CAD models of mechanical components and assemblies
- Develop technical drawings and engineering documentation to specification
- Support the optimisation of component designs for manufacturability and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on design reviews and improvements
- Contribute to prototyping efforts and design validation activities
- Research and apply best practices in mechanical design and standards
Who We're Looking For
- Currently studying mechanical engineering, product design, or a closely related discipline
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (CATIA, Solidworks, Inventor, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and technical drawing standards
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to technical accuracy and detail
- Ability to work effectively within engineering teams and respond to feedback
- Fluent English and German communication skills preferred
