Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential financial services organization in Paris seeking a skilled Java developer to join their team. In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and optimize front-office risk management applications covering various financial products
- Enhance and extend existing functionalities to meet real-time business requirements
- Solve complex performance, algorithmic, and multithreading challenges
- Participate in the design of scalable and robust microservices architectures
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and security across the entire solution
- Contribute to code reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and sharing of best practices
You will work with Java 17, NoSQL databases, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines. Technical challenges include real-time processing, low latency systems, algorithmic complexity, distributed computing, and high-volume data processing.
What We're Looking For
Our client needs a Java developer passionate about real-time systems with an interest in capital markets, ready to thrive in complex, high-performance environments.
- Master's degree (engineering school or university) or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency in Java, multithreading, performance optimization, and development best practices (SOLID principles, unit testing)
- Experience developing mission-critical systems and processing real-time data streams; background in finance is a plus
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
