Finance Systems Data Assistant

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential ecommerce organization seeking a Finance Systems Data Assistant to join their team in Manchester. Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager, you will serve as a subject matter expert for creating, amending, and maintaining Master Data records in a timely and efficient manner, executing processes in line with internal procedures and audit requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing new account set-ups for suppliers and customers
• Managing account amendments for suppliers and customers
• Conducting bank detail verifications, both verbally and through banking portals
• Maintaining data management and system imports
• Handling day-to-day query management including mailboxes
• Training and upskilling new recruits
• Managing user data in procurement systems
• Creating data reports and analysis

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail to assess data quality and integrity. We are seeking someone who can support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to business and data processes.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Background working with large data sets and strong Excel proficiency
• Experience presenting to internal stakeholders and building relationships
• Interest in finance and business controls
• Self-starter attitude with eagerness to learn and expand finance knowledge
• Meticulous attention to detail with a "right first time" approach
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities
• Strong organizational effectiveness skills
