Senior Analyst — Customer (Beauty)

Responsibilities

We are representing a leading ecommerce organization in the beauty sector, seeking a Senior Analyst to own customer analytics across the full lifecycle. In this role, you will build the analysis, models, and insights that drive smarter decisions around customer acquisition, retention, CRM, marketing performance, and loyalty programs. You are expected to work largely independently, owning complex analytical problems end-to-end.

Customer Analytics

• Own analytical projects across the customer lifecycle including acquisition, retention, CRM, loyalty, marketing performance, and personalization
• Build customer segmentations, cohort analyses, and behavioral models that enable actionable business decisions
• Analyze marketing channel performance to understand what drives efficient acquisition
• Support development of the customer KPI framework
• Contribute to marketing mix modeling (MMM), providing customer and channel inputs and connecting outputs back to customer-level acquisition and retention decisions
• Synthesize quantitative data with qualitative insight from customer research, surveys, and feedback to build a complete view of customer behavior

Technical Delivery

• Write and maintain SQL queries and analytical scripts, producing accurate and well-documented analysis
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand the customer data model
• Build dashboards and reports that communicate customer performance clearly

Stakeholder Engagement

• Present findings to leadership and stakeholders across the business, translating complex analysis into clear business recommendations
• Manage ad hoc analytical requests, prioritizing effectively and delivering reliably
• Coach junior analysts, sharing knowledge and providing feedback
• Build strong working relationships across marketing, brand, and data engineering teams, managing stakeholder expectations and competing priorities proactively

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Typically 3+ years of experience in customer analytics, CRM, or marketing analytics
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to build complex analytical queries
• Experience with customer segmentation, cohort analysis, or lifecycle analytics
• Strong storytelling ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of projects
• Experience with ecommerce analytics including conversion, funnel, and site performance metrics
• Skilled at synthesizing quantitative data with qualitative insight to form a complete view of customer behavior
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and manage competing priorities across functions

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in beauty, lifestyle, fashion, or ecommerce environments
• Exposure to marketing mix modeling (MMM) or econometric approaches to marketing measurement
• Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation platforms
• Experience with Tableau or equivalent BI tooling

At This Level, You Will

• Operate largely independently, owning complex customer analytics end-to-end
• Demonstrate deep expertise in customer analytics as the go-to person for customer behavior, acquisition, and retention questions
• Coach junior team members and actively develop team capability
• Deliver high-quality analysis with minimal supervision
• Understand how customer analytics connects to commercial outcomes such as CLV, retention rate, and acquisition cost
• Make pragmatic decisions on analytical approach, balancing rigor with speed
