AI Engineer – FDE (Forward Deployed Engineer)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data platform organization seeking an AI Engineer to join their Forward Deployed Engineering team. In this customer-facing role, you will:

• Develop cutting-edge GenAI solutions incorporating the latest techniques to solve complex customer problems
• Own production rollouts of consumer-facing and internal GenAI applications
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers across various industries and domains
• Present at industry conferences and establish yourself as a thought leader in the AI community
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to influence strategic priorities and shape product direction
• Travel once every 4-8 weeks to meet with customers as needed

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking candidates with:

• Proven experience building GenAI applications, including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, and fine-tuning, using tools such as HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy
• Expertise in deploying production-grade GenAI applications, including evaluation frameworks and optimization strategies
• Extensive hands-on industry data science experience with common ML and data science tools including pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch
• Experience building production-grade machine learning deployments on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Operations Research, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong ability to communicate and teach technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Passion for collaboration, lifelong learning, and driving business value through AI
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks is preferred
• Must be based in the United Kingdom for this remote role
