The Opportunity

As a Steward at our Koloa, Kauai property, you'll be the backbone of our kitchen operations, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. This role directly supports our culinary team's ability to deliver exceptional dining experiences, ensuring every piece of equipment and cookware is perfectly prepared and ready for service. Your attention to detail and commitment to sanitation directly impact guest satisfaction and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain commercial dishwashing machines, hand-wash stations, pot and pan scrubbing areas, and trash compactors
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect kitchen surfaces, cookware, cutlery, glassware, and all food preparation equipment
• Clean and disinfect storeroom areas, maintaining an organized and hygienic storage environment
• Receive and process incoming food and supply deliveries, verifying accuracy and proper storage conditions
• Store and rotate perishable items according to food safety and inventory management standards
• Organize and store clean wares in their designated locations to ensure kitchen efficiency
• Use cleaning, sanitizing, and chemical products safely and effectively

Who We're Looking For

• Reliable, detail-oriented individual committed to maintaining the highest cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods in a busy kitchen environment
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen setting
• Previous experience in food service, housekeeping, or hospitality a strong advantage
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and equipment
