Navy Lessons Learned Analyst

KCG Engineering Group is seeking a Navy Lessons Learned Analyst to join its team in San Diego, San Diego County.

About the Role

This full‑time position supports the capture, analysis, and dissemination of operational insights from Navy missions and training events. The analyst works closely with fleet personnel, program managers, and training organizations to ensure that lessons learned drive continuous improvement across naval operations.

What You'll Do

• Collect after‑action reports, exercise feedback, and operational data from Navy units and commands.
• Analyze information to identify trends, root causes, and best practices that affect mission readiness.
• Maintain and update the centralized lessons learned repository, ensuring accuracy and easy accessibility.
• Develop clear, actionable recommendations and briefings for leadership and technical staff.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to validate findings and support implementation of improvements.
• Assist in the design of training materials and procedural updates derived from lessons learned.
• Participate in periodic reviews to measure the impact of implemented changes on performance metrics.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with U.S. Navy operations, training, or logistics environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of data into concise insights.
• Proficiency in documentation tools, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for presenting findings to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance as required by the contract.
• Demonstrated teamwork, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
