As a Reactor Operator with a License Class at Duane Arnold Energy Center, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of nuclear reactor systems. Your Responsibilities

• Operate and control nuclear reactor systems in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements
• Monitor reactor instrumentation, control systems, and safety equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Respond promptly to alarms and abnormal conditions, taking appropriate corrective actions
• Conduct routine checks and inspections of reactor equipment and systems
• Maintain detailed operational logs and records documenting all plant activities
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other reactor operators and facility staff
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory standards set by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission

Qualifications

• Current or ability to obtain a Nuclear Reactor Operator License (Class)
• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
• Strong knowledge of nuclear facility operations and safety principles
• Demonstrated experience operating complex technical equipment and systems
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and security clearance
• Sound judgment and ability to work calmly in high-responsibility situations
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including shifts, weekends, and on-call assignments as needed
