Senior Client Accounting Coordinator

Position Summary

As Senior Client Accounting Coordinator, you will serve as a key member of our accounting and finance team, managing client billing, account reconciliation, and financial reporting activities. This role combines technical accounting expertise with strong client-facing skills, requiring attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex billing scenarios in a fast-paced legal services environment. You will report to the Controller or Finance Manager and work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Process, review, and reconcile client accounts and billing invoices with accuracy and adherence to firm standards
• Coordinate time entry tracking, expense reimbursement, and revenue recognition across client matters
• Prepare and maintain account statements, aged receivables reports, and other financial documentation
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and client account inquiries
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entry preparation
• Assist with trust account management and regulatory compliance documentation as needed
• Interact professionally with clients, internal attorneys, and finance staff to gather information and provide updates

Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in legal services, professional services, or a similar client-facing environment
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with legal billing systems a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative team setting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
