About This Position

In this Principal-level role within Amazon's Talent & Compensation function, you'll architect, implement, and evolve talent management strategies that span multiple business units and geographies. Operating with high autonomy in complex, undefined business environments, you'll translate organizational needs into actionable talent solutions. As a subject matter expert, you'll provide leadership guidance to talent teams and business leaders across Amazon's worldwide operations, influencing how the company attracts, develops, and retains talent at scale.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Architect and oversee the development of enterprise-wide talent management programs and initiatives
  • Direct talent strategy execution across multiple Amazon business units and geographical regions
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align talent management priorities with organizational objectives
  • Build and refine compensation frameworks and talent policies that enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Mentor and develop talent management teams, fostering innovation and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate talent data and competitive market insights to guide strategic decision-making
  • Ensure alignment and consistency of talent management practices across Amazon's global operations

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in talent management, compensation design, organizational development, or similar HR disciplines
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale talent initiatives within complex, multinational organizations
  • Expert-level knowledge of compensation architecture, benefits strategy, and talent programs
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with proven success leveraging data for strategic decisions
  • Exceptional stakeholder communication and influence across all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive results in unclear, rapidly evolving situations
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or equivalent professional background
