Director, Data Analytics

Current, a rapidly expanding fintech company, is hiring a full-time Director of Data Analytics in New York City, New York. Lead the data and analytics function for a platform serving over 6 million members with financial solutions designed to help ordinary Americans build stronger financial lives.

About This Position

As Director of Data Analytics, you'll lead the data strategy and analytics function for one of the nation's fastest-growing fintech companies. You'll own the creation and evolution of data infrastructure, analytical frameworks, and decision-making systems that drive product development, customer experience, and business growth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll both set strategic direction and contribute directly to high-impact analytics initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

• Build and mentor a team of data analysts and engineers to deliver insights that drive product and business decisions
• Design and implement analytics frameworks that measure product performance, customer behavior, and financial outcomes
• Establish data governance, quality, and infrastructure standards across the organization
• Partner with product, marketing, and operations leadership to identify key metrics and deliver actionable insights
• Lead strategic analytics initiatives that support business roadmap and growth objectives
• Oversee the data pipeline architecture and analytics platform to ensure reliability and scalability

What You Bring

• Extensive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science, with substantial leadership responsibility
• Demonstrated expertise building and leading high-performing analytics teams
• Deep proficiency with SQL, data warehousing, and modern analytics platforms and tools
• Strong background in financial services or fintech industries
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to translate complex data for non-technical audiences
• Track record of building data-driven cultures and driving organizational decision-making through analytics
