Direct Support Professional – APW/Richland Area

Advocatesorporated is hiring a Direct Support Professional to join our team in Orwell, Oswego County. This is a full-time position where you'll provide dedicated, one-on-one support to an individual with Cerebral Palsy, helping them achieve greater independence and participate fully in their community.

Position Summary

As a Direct Support Professional serving the APW/Richland Area, you'll engage in meaningful, hands-on work supporting your client's daily life and personal goals. This one-to-one support role is central to helping the individual you serve build skills, maintain independence, and access the community activities that matter to them. Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized one-on-one personal care and assistance tailored to the individual's specific needs
• Support community integration and facilitate participation in meaningful activities aligned with the person's interests
• Help develop and reinforce daily living and life skills that promote independence
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and progress toward personal goals
• Communicate effectively with the care team, supervisors, and family members to ensure coordinated support
• Follow health and safety protocols to ensure the individual's wellbeing and protection
