Amazon Web Services is hiring a Network Infrastructure Engineer I specializing in Amazon Dedicated Cloud (NIDD) operations for our Infrastructure Operations team based in Brandy, Culpeper County. This full-time position is for a skilled engineer ready to scale mission-critical network infrastructure serving dedicated cloud regions.
The Opportunity
Join Amazon's Infrastructure Operations organization as a Network Infrastructure Engineer supporting Amazon Dedicated Cloud deployments. You'll help design, deploy, and optimize network systems that enable dedicated cloud regions to meet growing enterprise customer demand. This role requires a valid security clearance or the ability to obtain one. You'll work with experienced engineers tackling complex, large-scale networking challenges that directly impact AWS's growth and customer success.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and implement network configurations for Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions
- Troubleshoot and resolve network performance and connectivity issues
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure to ensure availability and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale network capacity and capabilities
- Maintain detailed documentation and support knowledge transfer across teams
- Participate in on-call rotation to support production infrastructure
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with network infrastructure, routing, switching, or telecommunications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, and related network protocols
- Ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams
