Lead the food service operations at Independence High School as a Cafeteria Student Coordinator Lead with Glendale Union High School District 205. The Opportunity

As Cafeteria Student Coordinator Lead, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of our cafeteria, lead a student workforce, and ensure every student enjoys a quality dining experience. Working closely with our food service management and school administration, you'll coordinate everything from meal service to inventory management, creating an organized and welcoming environment where students can fuel up between classes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor student cafeteria workers, providing training in food service procedures and customer service
• Coordinate meal prep, serving, and cleanup operations throughout the school day
• Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering, stock rotation, and supply management
• Uphold food safety and health code compliance standards
• Process meal payments and manage student meal account transactions
• Address operational issues and escalate concerns to food service management
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient cafeteria environment
• Communicate student feedback and suggestions to leadership

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior experience in food service, cafeteria operations, or related customer-facing roles
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent organizational and attention to detail
• Food safety certification preferred or ability to obtain certification
• Reliability and commitment to school calendar schedule
