Maximus is seeking a Policy Development Analyst III (Junior) in Charlotte, North Carolina to join a dynamic team focused on developing, documenting, and refining policies that drive operational excellence across our organization.

About the Role

As a Policy Development Analyst III (Junior) with Maximus in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, you'll play a key role in shaping how we operate. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work directly with leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams on policy development initiatives that impact our business and our people. You'll combine analytical rigor with collaborative problem-solving to create clear, actionable policies and procedures.

What You'll Do

• Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures that align with project and program guidelines
• Collaborate with management, clients, and internal change management teams to identify and define policy requirements and standards
• Research, analyze, and synthesize reports, documentation, and existing policies to inform recommendations
• Identify gaps in current procedures and recommend thoughtful, practical policy improvements
• Prepare clear, well-organized policy documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Support the implementation and communication of new or updated policies across the organization

What We're Looking For

• Strong written and verbal communication skills—you can explain complex policies clearly to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and synthesize information from multiple sources
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and completeness in documentation
• Comfort working cross-functionally and managing input from multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with policy development, compliance, process improvement, or related analytical work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools; experience with policy management systems a plus
