Rehab – Physical Therapist Assistant

Reliant is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team at our White Plains, Charles County location. This is a part-time position where you'll deliver direct patient care under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence.

About the Role

As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Reliant, you'll work in our clinical setting supporting patients through their recovery and rehabilitation journeys. You'll implement treatment plans designed by physical therapists, monitor patient progress, and contribute to a caring environment where patients feel supported throughout their therapeutic goals.

What You'll Do

• Guide patients through prescribed exercises, stretches, and therapeutic activities
• Assist with modalities such as heat, ice, electrical stimulation, and other treatment techniques
• Observe and document patient responses to treatment and functional improvements
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and communicate progress to supervising physical therapists
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment
• Support the rehabilitation team with patient intake and scheduling tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients with proper body mechanics throughout your shift
• Compassion for patient care and commitment to helping people achieve their rehabilitation goals
• Ability to work effectively under the direction of a licensed physical therapist
