You'll own supplier relationships from qualification through ongoing performance, ensuring every component meets our rigorous standards. This role demands equal parts technical depth—audits, assessments, data analysis—and interpersonal acumen to drive suppliers and internal teams toward continuous improvement. You're the bridge between manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and our supplier partners.
What You'll Do
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and approval processes aligned with product specifications and regulatory frameworks
- Plan and conduct comprehensive supplier audits, documenting findings and driving corrective action resolution
- Monitor supplier performance through data analysis, trend evaluation, and metrics-based scoring
- Manage supplier change notifications and engineering change orders, assessing quality impact before implementation
- Investigate quality issues at the supplier level; support root cause analysis and corrective action verification
- Act as primary liaison between internal customers and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and prevent escapes
- Maintain compliance documentation, audit records, and quality system procedures
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance, or supply chain quality roles
- Proficiency with ISO 9001 and relevant standards (AS9100, medical device requirements, or automotive IATF preferred)
- Hands-on expertise in supplier auditing, SPC, FMEA, and corrective action management
- Fluency with quality systems, statistical analysis, and data-driven problem-solving
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities; you'll influence stakeholders across functions and organizations
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline
- Ownership mindset and attention to detail in a regulated environment
