About the Role

This full-time training position is designed to prepare you for Medical Technologist certification and equip you with the essential skills to excel in clinical laboratory work. As a Medical Technologist Resident at Northside Hospital Inc., you'll work alongside experienced lab professionals in a state-of-the-art facility, gaining the practical experience and knowledge required to become a certified laboratory professional.

What You'll Do

• Perform clinical laboratory procedures under supervision, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Analyze blood samples, bodily fluids, and other specimens using established protocols
• Ensure accurate documentation and results reporting in compliance with laboratory standards
• Follow quality assurance and safety protocols to maintain a secure laboratory environment
• Collaborate with pathologists, supervisors, and laboratory team members to support patient care
• Prepare for and pursue Medical Technologist certification upon program completion

What We're Looking For

• Associate degree in medical laboratory science or clinical laboratory science, or equivalent academic preparation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in laboratory work
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to perform lab duties, including standing for extended periods and handling specimens safely
• Dedication to professional development and passing Medical Technologist certification
