Pillsbury United Communities is hiring a College Access & Internship Coordinator in Minneapolis, Hennepin County. This is a full-time position focused on expanding educational and career opportunities for young people across our community.
About the Role
In this position, you'll lead college access and internship programming that opens pathways for students in the Minneapolis area. You'll connect young people with employers, educational institutions, and career development resources while building partnerships that create real internship experiences and college preparation support.
What You'll Do
- Design and facilitate college preparation workshops and support services for students
- Identify and develop partnerships with employers to create internship opportunities aligned with student interests and career goals
- Match students with internship placements and provide ongoing support throughout their work experience
- Coordinate outreach and recruitment efforts with schools and community organizations in Hennepin County
- Track student outcomes, measure program effectiveness, and prepare reports demonstrating impact
- Guide students through college applications, internship interviews, and professional development
- Cultivate long-term relationships with internship host organizations and employers
What We're Looking For
- Background in college access programming, career development, or youth-serving community work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across diverse audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple timelines, track participants, and coordinate logistics
- Commitment to supporting young people, especially first-generation college-bound and underrepresented students
- Experience with data systems and creating outcome reports
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
