About the Role

Lincoln Center Theater seeks a thoughtful, creative Social Media Manager to amplify our artistic voice and build community across digital platforms. You'll be at the intersection of arts marketing and audience engagement, translating the energy and artistry of our productions into content that resonates with current patrons, prospective theater-goers, and culture enthusiasts searching for meaningful entertainment experiences.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute cohesive social media strategies across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and LinkedIn that reflect our artistic mission and drive ticket sales
• Create, schedule, and publish original content—including photography, video, graphics, and copy—that captures rehearsal moments, production details, artist interviews, and behind-the-scenes insights
• Build and nurture an engaged online community through responsive, meaningful interactions with followers and culture-focused audiences in the Manhattan area and beyond
• Monitor performance metrics and analytics to refine content strategy, test new formats, and demonstrate campaign impact on audience growth and ticket inquiries
• Collaborate with artistic, marketing, and communications teams to ensure social presence aligns with season announcements, donor initiatives, and organizational priorities
• Stay current with platform trends and best practices to keep Lincoln Center Theater's digital presence fresh, accessible, and competitive in a crowded cultural marketplace

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts for arts organizations, entertainment venues, nonprofits, or mission-driven brands
• Proficiency with content creation tools, scheduling platforms, and social analytics dashboards
• Strong written and visual communication skills with an eye for storytelling and audience psychology
• Genuine passion for theater, performing arts, or cultural institutions
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, meeting deadlines and adapting to seasonal campaign timelines
