About the Role

The Strategic Initiatives Lead will partner with senior leadership to shape and execute high‑impact projects that advance Proxima’s mission of making protein interactions programmable. This position sits at the intersection of science, technology, and business development, driving cross‑functional efforts that translate innovative AI research into tangible therapeutic collaborations.

What You'll Do

• Define initiative scopes, timelines, and success metrics in collaboration with research, engineering, and partnership teams.
• Monitor progress against milestones, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to keep programs on schedule.
• Prepare clear, data‑driven reports and narrative updates for executives, investors, and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and alignment sessions that ensure all functional areas understand strategic priorities.
• Support the negotiation and structuring of partnership agreements, leveraging knowledge of the company’s $5 billion collaboration track record.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI and biotech trends to recommend new areas for investment or collaboration.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience leading complex, multi‑disciplinary projects in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or AI‑focused environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, comfortable speaking to both scientific and non‑technical audiences.
• Familiarity with partnership models, contract basics, and the dynamics of big‑pharma collaborations.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in life sciences, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, innovative culture while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
