About the Role

As a Community Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for prospective homebuyers seeking financing solutions. You will guide applicants through the mortgage process, from initial consultation to loan closing, while building lasting relationships within the local community.

What You'll Do

• Meet with individuals and families to assess their home‑buying goals and financial profiles
• Recommend appropriate mortgage products and explain terms, rates, and requirements
• Collect and verify documentation needed for loan underwriting
• Coordinate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure timely loan approvals
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and TD Bank lending regulations
• Develop and nurture referral partnerships with real estate agents, builders, and community organizations
• Track pipeline activity and meet monthly production targets
• Participate in local events and outreach initiatives to promote TD Bank’s home‑finance offerings

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in residential mortgage lending or a closely related financial services role
• Solid understanding of various loan programs, including conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo mortgages
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail when managing multiple applications
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and building trust
• Current NMLS license or eligibility to obtain one promptly
• Proficiency with mortgage origination software and standard office applications
