About the Role
As a travel physical therapy assistant, you'll join a dynamic care team in the Rockbridge area of Gwinnett County, providing direct patient support during their recovery journey. This contract assignment combines the flexibility and professional growth of travel therapy work with the rewarding experience of helping patients regain independence and function.
What You'll Do
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing therapeutic exercises and treatment protocols
- Guide patients through mobility exercises, stretching, and strengthening activities
- Support patients in regaining movement, independence, and confidence following injury or illness
- Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the clinical team
- Maintain a safe, clean treatment environment and equipment
- Document patient sessions and maintain accurate clinical records
- Provide hands-on assistance with positioning and personal care as directed by the supervising therapist
What We're Looking For
- Valid PTA license or certification in the state of Georgia
- Previous experience as a physical therapy assistant, including travel therapy assignments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
