About the Role
As an Instructional Assistant Tier 1, you'll work alongside classroom teachers to enhance the learning experience for our students. Your role is fundamental to keeping classrooms running smoothly and ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
What You'll Do
- Assist teachers with whole-class and small-group instructional activities
- Support student learning in core academic subjects under teacher direction
- Monitor student behavior and engagement during instructional time
- Help organize and prepare classroom materials and resources
- Provide one-on-one academic support to students who need it
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Support school operations and comply with district policies
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Patience, professionalism, and a commitment to student growth
- Reliable attendance and a willingness to follow school procedures
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners
