About the Role

As a Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General, you'll play a central role in keeping our store running smoothly. You'll combine strong customer service with operational expertise, supporting both our shoppers and your team members. This is a hands-on position where your leadership and attention to detail directly impact our store's success.

What You'll Do

• Deliver excellent customer service on the sales floor, answering questions and guiding customers through their shopping experience
• Process transactions accurately at the register, handling cash and payment methods with care
• Help manage store inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and conducting counts
• Support the store manager and assistant manager in training and mentoring newer team members
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment that reflects our standards and enhances the customer experience
• Assist with opening and closing procedures to ensure the store is ready for business each day
• Monitor sales floor activity and help address any customer needs or concerns promptly

What We're Looking For

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Proven customer service experience, ideally in a retail environment
• Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help customers
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise as needed
• Reliable and punctual with a commitment to your scheduled shifts
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
• Basic math skills and comfort with point-of-sale systems
