About the Role

As a Cashier/Food Service Worker, you'll be the welcoming face of the food service operation, managing transactions, preparing meals, and maintaining a clean, efficient service environment. You'll work closely with the kitchen team to ensure students and staff receive quality meals during breakfast and lunch service periods.

What You'll Do

• Operate the cash register, process payments, and manage transactions accurately
• Prepare and serve food items according to portion guidelines and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, including counters, equipment, and serving areas
• Follow food safety and handling procedures to ensure health and safety compliance
• Take customer orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide friendly customer service
• Stock supplies and organize inventory in the serving area
• Assist with special dietary requests and accommodate student needs
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to support meal service operations

• Reliability and punctuality for weekday morning shifts
• Basic math skills and comfort operating a cash register
• Food handling knowledge or willingness to obtain food safety certification
• Friendly, professional demeanor and strong customer service skills
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly
