About the Role

As a Cook - Southern, you'll prepare traditional Southern dishes in a busy university dining environment. You'll work alongside experienced culinary staff in a fully equipped kitchen, combining attention to food quality and safety with the practical skills needed to serve hundreds of students and faculty daily.

What You'll Do

• Prepare Southern cuisine menu items following established recipes and cooking techniques
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards during all operations
• Operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Prepare ingredients, portion foods, and ensure consistent quality and presentation
• Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to meet daily meal service requirements
• Keep the kitchen organized and clean throughout your shift
• Follow direction from kitchen supervisors and head cooks

What We're Looking For

• Experience preparing Southern-style cuisine or equivalent cooking background
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
