Truck Driver Company – OTR – Dry Van

U.S. Xpress - OTR is hiring Class A Commercial Driver License holders for over-the-road truck driving positions based in Glade Spring. This is a full-time opportunity to join an established carrier fleet and earn competitive mileage-based compensation with proven earning potential.

About the Role

We're seeking professional truck drivers with at least 1 to 5 months of verifiable driving experience. You'll operate company-maintained dry van equipment on long-haul, over-the-road routes throughout the United States, working both as a solo driver or in team configurations.

What You'll Do

• Operate tractor-trailer units on interstate and long-distance freight routes
• Transport dry van freight safely and deliver on time
• Maintain detailed logbooks and comply with all DOT regulations
• Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Manage customer interactions professionally during pickup and delivery

Compensation & Benefits

• Solo Drivers: Compensation from 56 to 60 cents per mile, scaled with your experience. Guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,400 (12 days out, 2 days home). Top performers earn up to $1,650 weekly. Includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Solo routes average 2,000 miles per week.
• Team Drivers: Split pay of 72 to 80 cents per mile with $5,000 team sign-on bonus (split earnings). Team operations average 5,000 miles weekly.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL-A)
• 1–5 months of recent truck driving experience
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background screening
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work independently on extended routes
